Dimitris Prousalis

Dimitris studied education, pursued librarianship and folklore postgraduate studies and has a master’s degree in folklore and is presently pursuing a PhD in folklore. He has published-edited 15 collections of folktales. A professional storyteller since 2003, Dimitris has a repertoire of over 250 stories. He is also the artistic director of the Mt. Pelion annual storytelling festival “Folktales and Myths on the Back of the Centaur” and “Athens, a City of Tales.” Since 2015 he has been collaborating with the National Theatre of Greece on the program “The Folktales of National Theatre,” telling stories to vulnerable groups, including refugees and immigrants, seniors and people with special needs.
