Judith Poirier

Judith Poirier is known across Canada as a teller who artfully weaves traditional stories, life stories and songs. Warmth, humour, depth and spontaneity share the stage, to the delight of the publics young and old. Anglophone audiences savour her bilingual telling, which allows them to venture into a French Canadian atmosphere with the sense of being a part of it. In recognition of her unique talent and repertoire, she is a featured teller in the StorySave collection produced by Storytellers of Canada. Her album is titled Bienvenue dans mon salon double! – Folktales and Stories from a Montreal Storyteller. Judith also participates in initiatives that bring storytelling to community organizations. She has been working with members of the Fédération québécoise des organismes communautaires Famille, a network of over 250 family resource centers in Québec, for over 20 years.
