G. Scott MacLeod

G. Scott MacLeod, born in Red Deer, Alberta, is an artist, musician, producer, director and animator. His family moved to Montreal from Cape Breton N.S. in 1969, where he was educated in both French and English, fully integrating into the French culture of Quebec. Based in Montreal, MacLeod holds a BFA and MA from Concordia University. He attended the Banff Center on the Tevie Scholarship and Arliss Miller and studied master’s works at the Uffizi Print and Drawing Room in Florence on the Elizabeth T. Greenshields Scholarship. He is a member of RAAV, Main Film, a fellow at The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico and an affiliate at the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling at Concordia University. He teaches privately, consults and gives lectures on better business and artistic practices. He currently produces educational films, graphic novels and web platforms with MacLeod 9 Productions as educational tools for schools, libraries, museums, Parks Canada and the public.
